The day when the oximeter fail
Last sunday, the oximeter suddenly fail to display reading after we came back from family outing at the East Coast park. Initially we thought it just the probe that was giving the problem but after trying a few probe we realised that it not the probe but the machine itself.
As there no 24 hour service support from the oximeter company, it pointless to look for help.
We started to panic as Danielle had always been monitor for her oxygen sat level and pulse rate. The oximeter has alway been a comfort zone for us, we rely on the reading from the oximeter to monitor her condition -is she comfortable or not. Now we can only observe her facial expression and her complaint.
During the day ,without the oximeter to monitor Danielle we still can observe her facial expression and complaint cry. But when it come to sleeping time, her sat level will not be monitored.
I began to pray that God will see us through the night and protect Danielle while she was not being monitored. After the prayer, God started to show us that He is in control and everythings will be alright. True enough, it went well at night and by monday morning, I've arranged a service personal to come in the afternoon to check the unit. The service personal found it due to some board failure. He left will a replacement unit for us to use till our unit was fixed. The service personel hint that the board may cost us few hundred to thousand dollar depend on which board faulty.It the end, he manage to find us a used board to replace the faulty one and just charged us the service call rate. That really saved us quite a fare bit of money. Thanks God for the promise that He will see us through .
