My Princess Danielle

As any other toddler, Danielle eager to explore the world around her. Except that she is different from the rest of the normal toddler. She do not have the strength to move herself around. But that doesn't stop her from exploring. She begin to touch and feel the things around her whenever she have the chance. As a parent, we see her learning path and we try all way to allow her to explore the world around her.

Thanks for the words and encouragement. Prayer request for Danielle- - We're requesting the doctor that seeing Danielle to accept a new treatment protocol that is practising in the United States. This new treatment have shown great improvement to the health of SMA children. - Hope to see open mind and open door from the Doctor to use this new treatment protocol. -As parent we want Danielle health to improvement and not giving up hope that she will be heal from her condition. -It a season of flu and H1N1, pray not one of us catch it as it pose high risk for Danielle.

A session where Danielle have to go through 5 time a day. If she fall sick, this session will increase depending the secretion accumulate inside her throat ( we normally call it foggy as it sound like a frog singing) Its a session neither will I want to go through as it is very very uncomfortable, imagine yourself sticking a tube inside your nasal all the way to the back of your throat. When suctioning, you actually stop breathing for awhile as it not only remove away the secretion and the air too. As Danielle doesn't have the strenght to resist, what she only able to do to show her uncomfortableness-, she just shed tears. I've seen a boy carry out this suction session at the hospital which require two nurses to hold him down and the another one carry out the suctioning. He was screaming all throughout the session.

Having a fun time over at Marina Barrage - flying Kite & chasing birds. But most of all, Danielle got a chance to view the world outside.

There alot of interferences from our previous baby monitor and that really annoying especially in the middle of the night when you're sound a sleep. The last thing you want to hear is a loud high pitch sound deliver by the monitor. After many sleepless night cause by the monitor. We decided to get a new monitor unit. The new monitor features - come with adjustable sound sensitivity, uses light to indicate if baby makes a noise, allows you to talk to your baby and soft nightlight to comfort baby.

We have a new stoddler/buddy for Danielle. Thanks to a friend whom help us to bring it in from the States. This buddy able to carry up to 45kg of load and it weight only 10kg. Danielle's existing stoddler is really outgrown her size and we are looking around for one that fitted her size and needs. With her needs and size it quite difficult to find one locally. It only has to be specially import in from other countries and this will not cost cheap. Thanks to this friend, we need not have to look around anymore. There still some adjustment to the buddy and Danielle getting used to her new SUV Car. This coming sunday, when we goes for church service , We'll put it to a test drive.

The foot splint that we made the other time wasn't helping Danielle much. At the moment, we only has one side of the foot splint as there other side still not ready yet. This one is not as comfortable as the last one but a least it is correcting her foot angle. Both her knee already began to harden up, it really worry us.

As Danielle has grown quite a bit, the existing bath chair already outgrow her size. With the recommendation from our physio therapist. We got this bath chair, thinking that it should last us another few year for its length. But Danielle just fit in nicely with just little room to spare.
