Just as we thought that things going to be smooth, the following day Danielle feeding tube balloon that hold the tube in place in her stomach burst. At the sametime, our van broke down just we preparing to brought to hospital. Thanks God that it didn't broke down during the way to hospital but broke down in the carpark after my wife went to fetch Beth after school. We managed to get hold of another transport to bring us to Hospital. We got a surgeon that did botok for Danielle to replace the feeding tube. Not the usual doctor , as this time we decided to try out another method to insert the feeding tube through radioscopy. It shorten the time of replacement , as it can be carry out without any general anaesthetic. We were able to discharge within the sameday as compare to previous method. After the procedure, we able to secure another transport to bring us back home. The following day, thinking that everything was fine. I was back to w...

Treat her as a normal child and not a sick child

Watching her sharing with her elder sister to watch a TV program. This scenic bring us a sense gladness to enjoy- Priceless ! This days her sister hardly do that as she so busy with her school work. But she will still ask us about her sister condition when Danielle not feeling well and help to change her show when is finished. A sharing from a close friend whom journey with us - to treat Danielle as a normal child instead as a sick child. In every moment, we try our best to keep Danielle as comfort as possible. Meeting to her every needs, we tend to overlook that she is just a normal child that enjoy to be accompany , play , explore. At her present physical state it easy tend to overlook this point. She is 6.5.yrs old. She really grap every moment to communicate with us. Her demand is simple- play her favorite video show, turn her to other side, clear her nose secretion and accompany her by her side. Such a simple demand from her....

Haze,haze..please go away

Haze,haze...please go away... Finally the PSI went down and over the last weekend (after many weeks of keeping Dan in her bedroom) we got the opportunity to bring Dan out to the living room. I can see that she is really happy that she is finally out of her room. Unlike her usual 'princess' fussy self.. She was quietly watching the youtube clips we chose for her. She enjoyed the family time in the living room. It was a wonderful feeling to be together as a family. The happiness was shortlived. Probably due to the haze, or maybe her regular allergy due to the bad air...Dan is down with upper respiratory infection..she can't sleep well and feel so uncomfortable. Unlike the normal children, this brave girl didn't cry, but just endure the discomfort. The look on her face gave her away. Helplessness was written all over her face. Twr is the 3rd day. I am feeling defeated again...it is never easy to watch her suffer and I can't do much.. Mom
