My Princess Danielle

Eversince Danielle did her trach last year Oct, managing her secretions is much easier. This mean lesser suction through her nose and mouth and it mean less trauma on her. As I recalled back the first look of her new look after her trach operation. Suddenly i recalled back the promises God revealed to me two years back- I'll give her a new face and new voice. That time I still wondering how she be able to less dependance to the mask. Last year due to the reflux issue that resurfaced again, she was hospitalised and intubating her was a tricky thing due to her narrow airway whom later ended up having to lose two of her front tooth. We managed to got her life back and just lost two tooth. So having her trach was the next thing. We were at the Marina Barrage on a late Saturday afternoon. When we planned to leave, we sighted a double rainbow. At the begin the rainbow was not so clear as you see in the picture. Just as we decided to leave as it getting dark, the sky began to clear and a full arc rainbow appearred. Not only that. there were 2 rainbows. What a breathtaking sight. It is my first time seeing a full arc rainbow. Rainbow signifies the convenant of God that He love us. From this rainbow sight, I felt that God is telling me this:"You need to take awhile to witness the blessings that are coming. At time you may not have a clearer picture of what you be going through. But, as you continue to stay on course, the blessing will just around the corner."

Jul08 - Aug08 Danielle did not reach her milestones. She still cannot roll over at 6 months and her motor skills are relatively weaker than Beth's (my 1st daughter). My maternal instincts told me something is wrong. One day while praying for Dan, the word "muscle" flashed across my mine... the same way when I prayed for her name... God is so good, He knew that I will be going through a tough time with Dan, so He arranged for me to know this church friend. I didn't even know she is a geneticist until the day Dan is diagnosed with SMA . The very next day on 29 Jul 08, I brought Dan to the polyclinic, and straight away the MD diagnosed Dan with SMA .
