The new arrival

Danielle was born on the 22nd of January 2008. Weighing at 2.4kg, with only less than 2 hours of labour and a little drama episode happened along the way. The drama started from seeing the gynae, back home packing and finally on the way to hospital.

Dan is our second child and we thought were much prepared for it. She was born healthy just like a normal child... little do we know the journey ahead of her is so tough and painful... something we never ever expect to happen. Dan has SMA, a disorder that never happened in our family line. It is a total shock to us. She is diagnosed with SMA when she was 6 months old.

    I can imagine the shock of learning the diagnosis...we went through that too. You always think you'll lead 'normal' lives, but we're the chosen ones to lead 'special' lives!

Danielle's 12 yrs old birthday

Few month ago, We celebrated Danielle's 12th birthday in a happy occasion. Team from Starpal and Danielle's fav  Medi-minder Auntie Kay paid us a visit. Its the team from Starpal that makeup of doctor, nurses, social worker and medi-minder have been supporting us all this while. Although we unable to see much facial expression from Danielle due to her condition. Through her eye we able to tell that she was delighted for this occasion. She was given a watch and pepper pig as present.

Danielle - How's things going on...

How has Danielle's been doing? Is she well ? Guess this have been some thought for some of Danielle's blog follower. I apologies for not updating in the blog. It been quite a busy season for us as a family since the beginning of this year.
