My Princess Danielle

Few week ago, we held a mini birthday celebration with Danielle. We decorated her room with her fav character Peppa pig. Together with the Starpal team whom without failed for past 4yrs held a mini birthday with her. Though its a mini one, it mean alot to Danielle n Us. Every celebration, we celebrate it as though it could be her last one.

My name is Frederick Seah, my wife Rebekah , and my elder daughter Beth  and Danielle. Danielle has been suffering from a medical condition called SMA - spinal muscular atrophy. Her muscles are  unable to develop as she grow older. This results in her severe immobility  which affected  her respiratory system and her digestive system. She is unable to move, breathe and to feed herself without the help of machine and from helpers. Presently there is no cure to her condition. It been a ten year long journey,and we know that these ten years had been a miracle for Danielle and for us.  Ten years ago, the doctor said that she can last only at most two years. But the goodness of the Lord allowed her these extra years. The condition affects her mobile  ability. This paralysis requires 24 hours of constant care. From wiping of her tears(yes, she crys because like you, she can feel, she can sense and she gets hurt),  to turning her body constantly to cha...

eye stye go away .. n dont  come back. danielle had this eye stye in her left eye for months. At one point of time both eye got infected. seeing her suffered made us felt so guilty n helpness n frustrated as we can't help us to ease the discomfort. We try applying antibodie cream on her infected eye- it subsided awhile but come back with a vengeance. Next we apply hot compression with towel over her eye lib-doesn't work. The last resorts will be surgery, but we don't want to use this method until last restore. As she sleep in a aircondition room, her eye will get very dry and made matter worst, she sleep without closing her eye lib. Everynight we'll apply eye gel; eye drop to lubricate her. Since the eye stye episode, we reduce the eye gel portion to her eye lib. Few week later we notice the eye stye was gone. keeping finger cross that it will not come back. EYE STYE DONT COME BACK!

How has Danielle's been doing? Is she well ? Guess this have been some thought for some of Danielle's blog follower. I apologies for not updating in the blog. It been quite a busy season for us as a family since the beginning of this year. Danielle enjoys the painting session. When she want to paint, she will voice out ' Color..'  also the color that she want to use. After finish painting the fish, she show a accomplishment look.

It started last December where Danielle's teacher teaches her the series of alphabet. It took many month to complete the series. There are day where Danielle just will not cooperate the lesson, but most lesson she able to sit through the 90min lesson. During lesson, Danielle doesn't want us as parent to observe her so she will show uncooperative. She is a  keen learner and anything that she enjoy she will keep quiet n follow through what the teacher teach. Things that danielle learned for the part few month
