My Princess Danielle

On Sunday 28 Dec 2014, we went to Christmas Party at the Singapore Flyer. There was a fake Santa Claus, face painters , food buffet and good scenery. There was a fish pond near the restaurant, where there is lots of fish to feed. The party was organized by Eunice Olsen and MDAS ( Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore) Written by Beth Seah. For the past 2mth, every week Danielle's teacher has been faithfully coming to teach her. Initially we are thinking 90 min is bit challenge to her due to past experience. It turn out well and each time we hear the feedback from her teacher it just so encouraging. below are some of her finger art works.

Here we go again... the 3rd tube burst in 30 days. Took down the batch no. The new tube going to be inserted today is from a different batch. Hope this is the last tube replacement for the year. I really need a peaceful Christmas and a quiet year end.

To end this year, we went with Club Rainbow and Rare Disorders Society S'pore for a 4 days 3 night Cruise Trip on the Royal Caribbean. We had a long list of packing items for Danielle that came up to 10 small & big luggage that require 2 car to fetch us to the Cruise center.  But all was worth it as this round. Danielle was much at ease as compare to last trip. We were able to enjoyed more with her present.  We almost couldn't made it to the trip as 2 days prior to the trip, her feeding tube balloon burst which require a urgent replacement at the hospital.  Precious Moment to watch both Danielle and Kaelyn ( 2 yrs old) enjoying each other company. The climax of the trip were the gathering of Christian special need parent came together for a time of Thanksgiving. During this session, we can felt our heaven father being please and seeing each parent present were a great encouragement for all of us . 

  Just as we thought that things going to be smooth, the following day Danielle feeding tube balloon that hold the tube in place in her stomach burst. At the sametime, our van broke down just we preparing to brought to hospital. Thanks God that it didn't broke down during the way to hospital but broke down in the carpark after my wife went to fetch Beth after school. We managed to get hold of another transport to bring us to Hospital. We got a surgeon that did botok for Danielle to replace the feeding tube. Not the usual doctor , as this time we decided to try out another method to insert the feeding tube through radioscopy. It shorten the time of replacement , as it can be carry out without any general anaesthetic. We were able to discharge within the sameday as compare to previous method. On Sunday we brought Danielle out of her room to spend time as a family in the living room. As usual Danielle will quietly watch her video programme while we sat around her. Danielle will watch her sister Beth playing the Xbox game.
