My Princess Danielle

As a birthday present for both our girls, we brought them to the 'Singapore Flyer' on the first day of the Chinese New year. As it was a public holiday, the queue to the Flyer were long. So we check with the Flyer staff whether there any handicap access to the Flyer. After that, we were given a VIP treatment of skipping the queue of taking a straight lift to the Flyer. What I learn from this experience- No harm asking, you never know what you be getting out of it. Also all this year when we bring Danielle out with us. Where ever we go, there alway alot of attention given to us from bystander. We getting used to being the 'Super star' or simple term ' being thick skin'.

We held a mini birthday celebration for both of my girls who happen to be sharing the same birthday, Danielle turn 4 yrs and Beth turn 8 yrs old. As I recalled last year celebration, we held it over a chalet together with our family members and friends. But after the celebration, we had to made a trip to the hospital as Danielle sats sudden drop to 90%. After a chest xray was done to ensure there no lung collapase, we head back home.

My elder daughter beth made a unique spectacles for Danielle. Initially, when we put in on her it took her awhile to figure out. After awhile, i capture this precious moment.

It been coming to a month after Danielle discharge from the hospital. Within 3 week, she actually put on addition of 1kg weight. Which made us quite concern as her weight gain just too fast. Beside this I constructed a new Gym for Danielle to work on her exerising.

Just to share this wonderful song.I last remember this song was from the movie title: Cool Running. Few weeks back, my elder daughter Beth was practising it for her school performance. The lyrics somehow ministered to both me and my wife that God is saying to us, that the storm going to be over soon and the road ahead will be much easier. Enjoy the song and May it too minister to you. That in whatever circumstance you are going through right now, the storm will eventually be over and it will follow by much clearer sky and sunny day.

Last wednesday evening 9 nov 11, after a success insertion to replace the bursted GJ tube. Danielle was given the green light to discharge from hospital and to manage at home. Today is Day 6 and she is recovering with lesser and clearer secreation to remove from her nose, mouth and trachy. Though Danielle is back home, both me and my helper were down with sickness. It will take another few month before Danielle can be fully recover and settle down with herself being without using the mask but the trach. All in all she had stay for almost 3 month in the hospital. Glad she back home and looking forward spenting together celebrating the first Christmas in our new place.

On last thursday afternoon, Danielle finally was well to be discharge from the hospital. After a night stay at home, we had to rush her to back to the hospital due to her GJ tubing burst. As it happened on friday and there a holiday coming up on Monday,there no doctor to carry out the procedure to replace the GJ tube under endoscopy. The doctor carry out the last insertion was out of town. We had to wait until tomorrow to carry out the insertion of the GJ tube. Until then Danielle, is on IV drip since friday night and a very slow feeding rate through the peg button. Yesterday, danielle secreation started to get thicken again and her trachy was again block. We are praying that Danielle protected against cross infection within the ward. Looking forward tomorrow for the procedure.
